I'm gonna break it down. I
HELLO PEOPLE
you are going to the hospital not the Hilton.
I didn't even want to get out of bed, let alone read a book, or do my make-up. Right after surgery I didn't even care if I had brushed my hair or had on clean underwear!
I swear I did not make out with a smurf! |
I did bring a few things that were of use
- cell phone and charger
- chap stick
- toothbrush and toothpaste
- lotion
- slippers
- clean under-garments
and that's it. Everything else stayed in my bag. I went home in the clothes I wore into the hospital. When I had my gall bladder out I had nothing at all. I had chap stick from my purse and my cell phone.
And just think when you pack to much you have to just unpack once you get home or in my case my wonderful Mom had to unpack once I got home :)
Sounds a lot like my experience, except I didn't own a cell phone back then. My hubby didn't take any pics of me in the hospital after wls. Kinda wish he did, but seeing me like that bothered him so much & don't think that was a memory he wanted to capture on film.
ReplyDeleteI wish no one took those emabarrsing pictures hehe. My Mom was camera happy at the hospital but it's fun to look back on those pictures now just to see how far I have come :)
ReplyDeleteOne thing I remember is being told to bring a pillow for the ride home.
ReplyDeleteOh I forgot about the pillow!!! It was a lifesaver for the car ride home :)
